The Kootenay community is blessed with lush forested areas on all sides. There are several ATV trails, and the quadding community is headed up by the Creston Valley Quad Squad, an organization that was formed in 2002 with a goal of bringing together local ATVers and other outdoor recreationists.

The Creston Valley Quad Squad keeps a selection of popular trails cleared and maintained, and the members also host poker rides, safety seminars and overnight camp-outs — not to mention day trail rides, which allow new riders to get a taste for the Creston terrain.
