Forget everything you know about performance and thrill—Can-Am’s Maverick X3 is here. This game-changing ride is the ultimate off-road vehicle in many respects, beginning with its sharp exterior styling and Ergo-lok cockpit, which wraps around its riders and lowers the centre of gravity with low-slung seating. In fact, everything about the Maverick was built around this configuration and the way it revolutionizes the riding experience. Also an industry first is the crazy 72-inch factory width—an engineer’s wild idea that grew because of unbelievable performance improvements. Never hit the desert or dunes before? Now’s the time.

A generous 24 inches of suspension travel on FOX 3.0 Podium RC2 HPG shocks, and 15 inches of ground clearance turn obstacles into opportunities for awesomeness.  Trailing arm (TTX) rear suspension will take you to amazing off-road places, especially since this beast is powered by an intercooler, turbo-charged 900-cc Rotax ACE engine bragging 154 hp.

Three oversized air intakes behind the driver form part of the super-powered airflow system designed for efficiency and performance. The design places both CVT and engine intake high in the chassis so riders can feel confident in mud and on wet terrain.
Also new to the redesign is the starting system. Rather than a key, a chipped clip plug pops into place, readying the start button, and be sure to pick up a learner plug if limiting speed will help newbies get the hang of this machine.
