Check Tech scan tool

Want to know why that annoying engine light is on without having to take your Polaris RZR or Sportsman to the dealer?

Check Tech is a new tool designed for at-home mechanics and small repair shops that allows individuals to diagnose and repair powertrain problems with their Polaris off-road vehicles. OTB Powersports, the Montana-based company that designed it, says its the first publicly available scan tool.

Based on Windows PC software, Check Tech allows you to view and graph live engine data, and read and clear diagnostic codes. It also provides troubleshooting tips to help fix the problem.

Some of the Check Tech channels include:

  • • Throttle position voltage
  • • Injector pulse width
  • • Gear position
  • • Ignition timing
  • • 4WD indicator
  • • Coolant temperature

Check Tech works for all Polaris 2009 to 2015 ATVs and UTVs as well as 2012 to current Polaris snowmobiles.

For more info, see the OTB Powersports website.
