This is something you don’t see everyday. On July 23, 2008, Brendan Buttler used his ATV to tow his snowmobile up Canoe Mountain near Valemount. He found snow at 9,000 feet and was able to go for a ride.

Quadding companions
Jaye Mathieu and her quad dog Chloe—a 12-pound Yorkipoo—enjoy ATVing together around their home in Cumberland, B.C. Ever since Mathieu got her quad in 2005, both she and Chloe have been addicted to ATVing and the pair have put on 10,000 kilometres of riding. Mathieu said people get a kick out of seeing Chloe in her basket on the ATV—esspecially when she is wearing her doggles—and sometimes they will take a picture. "I really love riding my quad, and I know Chloe loves it just as much as I do," said Mathieu.

When Grande Prairie native Jarrett King was told that his boss would sponsor an all-expenses-paid fishing trip up north every spring, he jumped at the opportunity. According to King, it didn't take long for the trip to turn into an ATV adventure.

Stuck!
After putting a new set of tires on his quad, Dave Schiller was eager to test them out; however, Schiller found out even great tires have limits. "The sand totally surrounded his machine," said riding buddy Todd Davidson. "It took two winches, a snatch block and some patients but we were able to pull him straight up the bank."
