If you are a dirt bike rider looking for a place to twist the throttle in Manitoba, there are several tracks available, and some of the most popular are listed below.

Almost all of the tracks you see on this list are sanctioned by the Manitoba Motocross Association (MMA), a member-driven organization that works to promote and grow the sport. If you’re interested in racing, the MMA can help you out. It runs a 12-round series beginning in May and ending in September.

As well, there is the Manitoba Dirt Riders Association. This group more typically organizes cross-country type events from May to October so if you like harescrambles, be sure to look them up.

Grunthal MX Track

The Grunthal MX Track was awarded track of the year in 2013 and 2015 by the MMA. It features a 42-rider starting gate, a 90-foot tabletop, an 85-foot triple and a winding bush section. There is a mini track for the kids as well. Major events include the MMA provincial series. For more information, see the website.

Farm Boys Raceways

Located southeast of Brandon, the motocross track at Farm Boys Raceways features rich black loam with a variety of tabletops, as well as a rhythm section and a 100-foot step up at the finish line. Farm Boys Raceways has received the track of the year award several times and it has played host to the MMA provincial series. For more info, see the Facebook page.

McNabb Valley MX

Situated in a valley seven kilometres north of Minnedosa, this motocross track takes advantage of natural elevation changes to include lots of jumps, off-cambers and berms. It’s an outdoor-style track so it’s fairly open. For more info, see the Facebook page.

Moto Park-X

Riders who really like to open up the throttle will enjoy the track at Moto Park-X near Altona. Moto Park-X is a high-speed, mostly clay-based track that has a 40-rider starting gate and lots of jumps. For more info, visit the Facebook page.

Prairie Hill MX

The Prairie Hill MX is another high-speed track where riders can challenge and improve on their lap times. The surface is more loamy, consisting of black dirt. The Prairie Hill MX track hosts the MMA provincial series and is home to the Prairie Hill Racing team. For more info, see the Facebook page.

Zhoda International Raceway

Zhoda International Raceway is about 25 minutes south of Steinbach and it is a technical track that is great for practicing. There are lots of jumps and off-camber corners as well as a large roller section and a very sandy section. For more info, see the Facebook page.

Gimli Motorsports Park

A two-kilometre motocross track and a special events area are located at the Gimli Motorsports Park. The park is a multi-use facility and other motorsports enjoyed here include drag car racing, road racing and ATV mud bogs. For more information, see the website.
