Riding roads less travelled

A series of events led me to Utila, one of the Bay Islands in Honduras, in March 2008. On the ferry to the island I sat beside Johan Urbina, an instructor at the Utila Dive Center. He told me about some of the courses offered at the facility and said he had a truck waiting to take people to their dive shop. I decided to go with him and that was the beginning of several weeks on Utila.

Ellen Clements is something of a renaissance woman. She is the director, president and CEO of two mining exploration companies. She is the keyboardist in a band. And she is an enthusiastic motorcyclist.
Cruising across continents

By trade, I am a sprinkler fitter-nothing renowned or extravagant. I am not rich and successful and I don't have a huge savings to draw from. At 29, I started a trip across Canada to Prince Edward Island on a KTM dirt bike. Canada is a big, beautiful, bilingual country but the plan was to see more.
Pushing the limits

Months of planning had finally come to fruition for Sean Noble and his sons, Ryan, Rob and Justin. It was early May 2007 and they were at last setting out on a 28,300-kilometre motorcycle trip that would take them from Ushuaia, Argentina, to the end of the Pan-American Highway in Deadhorse, Alaska.
