The fourth round of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals took place June 26 at Moto Valley Raceway in Regina, Saskatchewan. It had rained the night before, but that made for good track conditions which consisted of big jumps and high-speed sections.
Parts Canada Husqvarna rider Tyler Medaglia qualified well. During Moto 1, Medaglia was stuck in some track traffic which caused him to lose his sixth-place position and finish in ninth. Medaglia started Moto 2 feeling more confident and comfortable on his FC 350. He would battle the entire race to try to catch fourth and fifth place. He maintained his position and finished in sixth, leading him to a seventh-place finish for the day overall.
“Today was a day filled with ups and downs,” said Medaglia. “I qualified well but struggled with the track during Moto 1. I felt great all the way through the race during Moto 2 and am happy with how it went. It was not the result that I wanted, but it was a tough track to pass on. It was a good West Coast swing, and I’m looking forward to heading East.”
The next stop on the Canadian circuit is Gopher Dunes in Courtland, Ontario, on July 10.
