Christophe Pourcel gave Canadian MX fans an emotionally charged show this past weekend in Prince George, British Columbia. In what some are calling the most unreal finish in Canadian moto ever, Pourcel passed first place to take the win in the second moto in the last corner of the race! Pourcel ran in second place during the second moto of the day before making the epic pass much to the delight of the numerous spectators who were cheering him on the entire day.

“I came into the last corner wide open,” stated Pourcel when asked to comment on how he managed the unreal pass at the last moment. When asked about what stood out in his mind during the Prince George race, Pourcel said “The fans were insane! They were so loud; I could hear them every time I went past the grandstands. It encouraged me to keep pushing right until the very end”

Pourcel also performed extremely well in the first moto of the day. A second place finish in moto 1 combined with his win in moto 2 resulted in an overall win for round 2 of the Rockstar Energy Canadian MX Nationals. Pourcel will continue to run the coveted red plate as the series moves east to Calgary Alberta this weekend.
