Interior Race Scene
I’ve been a high speed sports action photographer for about 10 years now. Moto-X and dirt bike racing has been my field of choice, mainly because of the awesome down in the dirt action and the great family atmosphere the sport has to offer. It’s not an easy sport to get high quality images of, and presents many challenges due to the speed and the environment you’re working in. I have tried to promote the up and coming racers in this sport as it is paramount that they are able to get sponsorship to continue their dream of becoming professional racers. I look forward to this opportunity of covering all forms of two-wheel racing from the interior of B.C. and offering readers race updates, scheduling information and some inside information from the track on race day.

Brock Hoyer was born and raised in Williams Lake, B.C., and has spent many hours perfecting his riding skills at the local track and in the surrounding hills. The first time Hoyer really caught my attention was at the 2004 Provincial Championships in Kamloops.

Off-road racing update
There is more to dirt bike racing than just motocross, although MX gets the majority of the ink, the off-road circuit is huge and continues to pump out some world-class racers from the interior regions of B.C.

Spring racing update
The interior motocross season got off to a brisk start with constant racing action throughout April and May. The Kamloops track in nearby Blackpines kicked it all off with the Alberta Old timers sanctioning a great family race day on April 6. This was followed by a local two-race Kamloops Series on Sunday April 7 and 12.
