RidersWest welcomes a new addition to our ORV stable, the 2016 Arctic Cat Alterra 700 XT. A full review is coming your way, but for now, here is what you should know about this ATV from Arctic Cat.

For starters, the Alterra name is new and it replaces the XR models of previous years. Better in a number of ways, the 2016 Alterra 700 XT features a brand new chassis and improved ergonomics for a more aggressive riding position. It is also equipped with a continuously variable Duramatic automatic transmission and on-the-fly two- and four-wheel drive with front diff lock. Being the XT package, it comes with aluminum rims, electronic power steering, automotive-style paint and dual-halogen with LED accent headlights.

The 2016 Alterra is also available in a 550-, 500-, 450- and 400-engine class size models.
