Polaris Industries Inc. has unveiled its new lineup of Ranger side-by-side utility vehicles. Leading the pack is a completely redesigned, full-size Ranger XP 900—equipped with more than 500 new or improved consumer features.
Starting from the ground up, the engineers at Polaris mounted the Ranger XP 900 on an all-new chassis and added five inches to the wheelbase. They also gave it a progressive new suspension, which allows for a smoother ride and 10 inches of travel and 12 inches of ground clearance. At the heart and soul of the new Ranger is a 60-horsepower Pro-Star 900 engine with electronic throttle management. To offer a quieter ride, the engine has been re-positioned below the dump box and seat.
The 2013 Ranger XP 900 also features new in-dash and under seat storage compartments, integrated tie-downs in the cargo box, a quick release gate and removable cab components. The 2013 Ranger XP 900 is rated for a hauling capacity of 1,000 pounds and it can tow up to a ton of weight.
According to Polaris, the 2013 Ranger XP 900 represents a whole new class of side-by-side utility vehicles.
