For 2015, Can-Am seemed to focus more on its ATV lineup, but some new features did make their way into the company’s Commander and Maverick side-by-side families.
But let’s talk about the Maverick 1000R X mr, because—well—it’s pretty awesome. If you’re looking for a stock machine that comes ready to tackle the deepest of mud pits, this is the one for you.
The Maverick 1000R X mr is powered by a Rotax 976-cc V-twin engine, which delivers a hefty 101 horsepower. It also features a dual exhaust system, an electronic drive-by-wire throttle control, and an engine air intake system that is located as high as possible on the vehicle.
For 2015, the Maverick 1000R X mr gets fully adjustable FOX HPG piggyback shocks and a CVT transmission with a new extra-low gear that should come in handy for getting out of those really sticky situations. The Maverick 1000R X mr now comes standard with a 2,041-kilogram (4,500 pound) WARN ProVantage winch.
Perhaps the most noticeable upgrade, though, is the vibrant new colour scheme available for the Maverick 1000R X mr, which is called Digital Camo and Manta Green.
