Suzuki’s Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S. is the Dodge Charger of the motorcycle world. It never seems to go out of style, and after nine years on the market, it’s still one of the most powerful cruisers in production.
Beneath the M109R’s bold exterior is a 1,783-cc V-Twin. Equipped with 4.4-inch forged aluminum alloy pistons (one of the largest gasoline engine pistons being used in any production passenger car or motorcycle, according to Suzuki), this engine will get you from idle to red-line in a hurry. Pair it with a five-speed constant mesh gearbox and a throaty V-twin sound and you’ll be smiling for miles.
To handle all this power and torque, the M109R is bolted onto a high-tensile, double-cradle steel frame built for easy cruising. Inverted front forks with race-proven cartridge internals provide 5.1 inches of wheel travel and a preload adjustable single rear shock soaks up the bumps. Thanks to Suzuki’s Advanced Sump System, the M109R sports a lower centre of gravity, which equates to better handling. On the ground is the widest tubeless rear tire Suzuki has ever put on a motorcycle—but don't expect it not to break loose.
With the 2015 Suzuki M109R B.O.S.S., it’s about performance, as well as style. The chunky exterior certainly gives it that ballsy cruiser look, but it’s the blacked-out pipes, cylinder head covers and—well, pretty much everything—that make this bike a timeless classic.
