EZRyde Performance Exhaust for UTVs

by

EZRyde, a trusted name in the snowmobile industry, just released a new slip-on muffler for side-by-sides that boosts horsepower by seven to 12 per cent.

If you want some proof, EZRyde has dyno tested the Polaris RZR 800, the Arctic Cat Wildcat Sport 700 and the Wildcat 1000 X. The company saw a 12 per cent horsepower gain on the RZR, a 10 per cent gain on the Wildcat 700, and an eight per cent gain on the Wildcat 1000 X—and that’s without a fuel controller or any other upgrades on these machines.

Plus, the new muffler doesn’t change the sound of the vehicle. It remains “impressively close to stock,” according to EZRyde. Other benefits include better flow, less backpressure and no weight penalty.

Since 2007, EZRyde’s primary focus has been on aftermarket snowmobile suspensions, but its parent company, Great Lakes Sound & Vibration (GLSV), has decades of exhaust design experience.

“Our designs have been proven time and again in defence, aerospace and other highly demanding applications,” said Steve Mattson, president of GLSV and EZRyde, in a May press release. “Now this level of engineering is available to the powersports performance enthusiast . . . .”

Currently, the EZRyde Performance Exhaust is available for UTVs only. Coming this fall, however, is a system for ATVs and snowmobiles.
