From bush roads and backcountry trails to paddling routes and fishing spots, no stone is left unturned in the new Northern BC Backroad Mapbook (3rd Edition).
According to sources at Mussio Ventures Ltd.—the company that creates the Backroad Mapbooks—this comprehensive, 196-page outdoor recreation guide contains significant improvements over previous editions. It includes new roads and trails that have been added to the Northern region of B.C., as well as a newly expanded reference section for hunting, fishing, ATVing and winter recreation.
The new mapbook also has insider details for users, which have been supplied by organizations such as the British Columbia Snowmobile Federation, Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and Recreation Sites and Trails BC.
Mussio Ventures Ltd. was founded by Russell and Wesley Mussio, who are from Trail, B.C. The brothers were exploring in southern Alberta several years ago when they got frustrated with rifling through different guidebooks and maps to find their way. After that, they decided to consolidate the maps into one book. They published their first Backroad Mapbook in 1994 and it spawned a series of Backroad Mapbooks; the series has been a great success.
“It is hard to believe that it has been almost 20 years since we started,” said Russell, in a recent press release. “We really built the first book for ourselves; the fact that others have embraced the product with such passion is still rather humbling. Over the years, we have built a good following and have been fortunate to share some great stories.”
In addition to the new Northern BC Backroad Mapbook (3rd Edition), Mussio Ventures Ltd. has also published three new recreation maps for the Haida Gwaii, Bulkley-Nechako and Prince George and Mackenzie areas of B.C.
