Champion motorcycle racer and owner Kevin Erion has teamed with ACAT Global to provide product development, sales and marketing for the company’s line of lightweight and efficient catalytic converter products to the motorcycle and powersports industries.
Erion became the most successful independent team owner in the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) paddock while overseeing Erion Racing. After winning two AMA national titles as a rider in the late 1980s, Erion won more national titles as a team owner than anyone in AMA road racing history, including seven Formula Xtreme Championships between 1997 and 2008.
He also won two SuperTeams Championships in 1994 and 1996 and back-to-back AMA 600 Supersport crowns in 1999 and 2000.
“I am very excited to be a part of ACAT Global at a time in the powersports industry when size, weight and performance have so much value,” said Erion. “I see this new technology as a natural fit for both original equipment and aftermarket exhaust systems. With all the performance and environmental benefits the ACAT Global catalytic converter has to offer, I believe that eventually every motorcycle and product produced in the powersports industry will have an ACAT converter.”
Erion will perform his duties for ACAT in addition to running the day-to-day operations of his 19-year-old business, which provides premier products and services for motorcycle sport bike enthusiasts. He also runs a small leasing company specializing in Class A trucks for the motorcycle industry.
