Wheelz, a new manufacturer of custom golf carts and motorcycles, opened in Fruitvale, B.C., on July 7. Jerry Wood spent $100,000 renovating two adjacent buildings to create a 3,000-square-foot showroom and a 6,000-square-foot shop.
At Wheelz, a standard golf cart can be tricked out with a lift kit, custom paint, custom seats and even a customized body, to suggest a vintage truck, a Porsche, a ladybug or anything else you fancy. Licensed tradesmen do the fabrication in-house, including building Harley-Davidson-powered motorcycles from scratch.
Wheelz’s slogan is “From mild to wild.”
