Backflips, superman seat grabs, tail whips and the dead body were just a few of the tricks Jeff Fehr, Robert Haslam and Dustin Arthur Greenall performed at the first ever Wheels of Steele freestyle motocross show in Cranbrook, B.C., on June 21, 2014.
The event, which was held in conjunction with the community’s annual Sam Steele Days celebration, attracted a large and very mixed crowd of spectators. All ages were welcome and admission was free. Plus, there were beer gardens and other vendors on site.
Attendees could also check out some of the new dirt bikes. The guys from our local bike shop, Peak Performance Motorsports Ltd., were on site with their Honda, Yamaha and KTM tents set up.

Wheels of Steele was a much-anticipated event during Sam Steele Days. Spectators were pouring through the gates, even after the show had started. And the riders, they didn’t disappoint.
Probably one of the most amazing tricks they pulled out of their bag was a three-person consecutive backflip. Perfectly timed and executed, these guys seemed to know exactly what they were doing.
And not only did they put on an excellent main show, but Fehr and Greenall also showed their support of Sam Steele Days by riding in the morning parade.
