The final round of the Canadian Motorsports Racing Association (CMRC) Vancouver Island motocross series took place on August 26, 2012. The race was held at the Campbell River Motocross Park in Campbell River, B.C., and it was a good day of racing for Luke Maedel of Port Alberni, B.C., and Autumn Gould from Courtenay, B.C. Ed Masters was on hand to cover the event and he said that both riders finished with first place overall for the day, in their respective classes. Maedel competed in the Plus 25 class and Gould took on the competition in the Ladies class.

Ed’s son, Michael Masters, also raced that day and he got two hole shots and finished the day with third overall in the 7 to 11, 85-cc class.

The VIMX Club Series has now begun. There will be a practice day held in Port Alberni, B.C., on September 22 and Round 2 of the series will take place the following day.
