Peak Performance Motorsports in Cranbrook, B.C., hosted Honda motorcycle demo days on May 24, 2012. From 4 to 8 p.m., fans of Honda got an opportunity to ride some of Honda’s new street bikes. Phil Budiselich, who is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and the ATV and sled technician for RidersWest, was at the event and he tried out Honda’s CB1000RA, CBF1000A and CBR250R.
His impressions: Budiselich said he was pleasantly surprised with the comfort and smooth ride offered by the Honda CB1000RA—which is a standard, open-style bike designed for cruising streets or twisty roads. He said the CBR250R is easy to ride and would be well suited for beginners or for those who like bombing around town. The CBF1000A made a big impression on Budiselich, and he said that it would be the ideal sport-touring bike if he were to replace his current Honda VFR 800.
Attendance at Honda’s demo days in Cranbrook was lower than expected, due to poor weather conditions; however, the riders that showed up were grateful to Honda for letting them sample the new bikes. According to Budiselich, Honda is one of the few bike manufacturers that still offers demo days.
