The Honda demo tour team stopped in Cranbrook, B.C., on May 27, 2014, bringing with them 15 of the OEM’s new bikes. They also brought some great weather and because of it were able to run 45-minute test rides right from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Staging was at Peak Performance Motorsports, which is Cranbrook’s local Honda, Yamaha and KTM bike shop. As usual, our tech guy and seasoned motorcyclist Phil Budiselich was down there, trying out as many bikes as he could get his hands on.
Being a sport rider, he gravitated naturally to the CBR series. Honda’s 2014 CBR 500R stood out the most for him.
“It’s fun, simple and easy to ride but it’s still a powerful bike,” said Budiselich.
For those looking to get into motorcycle riding for the first time, the 2014 CBR 500R is a good place to start.
On the other side of the spectrum is Honda’s 2014 Gold Wing G1800AL, which he also tried out. This high-end luxury tourer is designed for long-distance rides, and what impressed Budiselich the most was the G1800AL’s quiet ride, even at highway speeds.
Other bikes that were on the demo truck included the Gold Wing F6B, CTX 700N, CBR 600RR and the Forza scooter.

Yamaha will be stopping at Peak Performance Motorsports in Cranbrook on July 5 for demo days.
