Seven-time National Snocross Champion Tucker Hibbert will be racing the penultimate round of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and his season this Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Tooele, Utah. Lining up against moto champs like Chad Reed, Ryan Villopoto and Justin Barcia in the competitive 450 class, Hibbert will continue to try and reach his goal of finishing out the season in the top 10.

Hibbert has been racing motocross since 2000 but he’s never been able to land a spot in the top 10. His career best was 15th overall in the 250 class in 2008 at the Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, Minnesota. He has really stepped up his game this year by racing in the 450 class. He had a breakthrough ride at the Washougal National in Washington on July 20 where he managed to stay in the top 15 for most of the second moto.

After the race in Tooele, Hibbert is headed to Lake Elsinore, California, for the final round of the series and his pro motocross season. Racing moto has become a way for Hibbert to stay physically fit and keep up his mental game in preparation for the upcoming snocross season. That being said, Hibbert will continue to push himself in motocross, striving for that top 10 finish.

“I’m excited to get back to the races and focused on finishing the season strong,” said Hibbert in an August 14th press release. “This is my 13th summer racing the nationals but it’s been a big learning year for me. Racing the 450 class is no joke. Compared to my snocross team, I’m running a small program for motocross and it’s tricky to keep up with the training, testing, track prep and travelling. I still have big goals I’m determined to reach in motocross and will keep pushing until I get there.”

Motos 1 and 2 of this weekend’s Utah National will be broadcast live on NBC Sports at 3 p.m. ET and on Fuel TV at 5 p.m ET. Or you can watch all four motos online at Alli Sports Network
