Bad Boy Off Road, an American company parented by Textron Specialized Vehicles, has released its first gas-powered side-by-side: the Stampede 900 4x4.

With a German-engineered 846-cc engine, the Stampede 900 4x4 pumps out 80 horsepower and 59 ft-lbs of torque. It has electronic power steering, on-demand AWD and 11.25 inches of ground clearance. Other features include a customizable extended cab, a 5.25-inch x 3.25-inch LCD screen, standard full coverage doors and 200 cubic feet of storage space.

“We designed Stampede to be industry-leading on the features that drivers told us matter most—power, a comfortable ride, and the ability to haul and store everything they need,” said John Collins, vice-president of consumer for Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. in the press release.

Bad Boy Off Road made a big deal of the unveiling, withholding information and teasing the industry with glimpses of the Stampede 900 4x4 several weeks before it was released—which was on May 2.
