Summer’s here, school’s out and many are looking for that perfect place to spend their holidays. Well, whether you are a water lover, an off-road enthusiast or a two-wheeled freak, there are plenty of riding opportunities awaiting in Alberta. Vast and varied is this province—with its mountains, plains, forest and rivers—and the riding is almost endless.

#1 ATVing the Iron Horse Trail
This 300-kilometre trail in Alberta’s Lakeland region takes riders through diverse landscapes including parkland, boreal forest, natural wetlands and agricultural land. #3 Ride the White Ridge MX Park
The White Ridge MX Park is about half an hour east of Whitecourt, Alberta, on Highway 658. This two-kilometre track is actually set up for all ages and skill levels. Westlock is in a scenic part of Alberta, with wooded trails that are prime for quadding located just a short drive from town. #5 High Level Motorcycle Circle Tour
Offering a great way to explore this diverse area, the High Level Circle Tour is a 260-kilometre jaunt encompassing High Level, La Crete and Fort Vermilion. #6 Jet boating in Fort McMurray and beyond
The Athabasca River, Clearwater River, Christina River and all their tributaries are the chosen destination for river boaters in northern Alberta.
