Ride forever

ATV along scenic mountain trails

by Kali Love

The natural beauty surrounding Revelstoke and infinite mountain trails single Revelstoke out as a must-ride destination for any ATVer looking for adventure. The Revelstoke ATV Club is a prominent part of the community and the club hosts many events and group rides.

Allan Obrigewitsch, the club’s president, has been an avid rider for six years and his favourite trails include the Wap Lake-Mabel Lake forest service road, Cottonwood Cove and Noisy Creek.

“This is one area that gets ridden a lot,” he said, “and if you hit them all in one trip it would be a 150-kilometre round trip.”

Obrigewitsch said there are many other beautiful trails in the area and he spends most of his weekends exploring new terrain on his ATV.

“I do a lot of riding,” said Obrigewitsch. “I put more miles on my ATV than on my vehicle and I haven’t even seen the majority of this area—it’s really endless here.”
