Always described as colourful, and passionate, J.P. Mack is an avid motorsports enthusiast. In 2007, he purchased an ATV, hit a freestyle ramp with epic enthusiasm, broke his arm and his wrist-and realized he was hooked. Something came alive within him the moment he hit the throttle. He then began to race sport ATVs. His injuries were frequent, usually ankles and arms. To date he has had a total of nine broken ankles; I’d hesitate to guess about the bruises. But, never one to be stopped by a mere flesh wound, he carried on. Pictures of him racing in casts were common. He raced in the Manitoba circuits, then ventured into Minnesota and North Dakota for even more adventures.
Like a chip off the old block, his nine-year-old daughter, Alexa, has the same thirst for adventure. Like her father, she lives for ATV adventures, and at nine years old she’s already owned three ATVs. Her next ride is her own youth sized RZR.
Upon retiring from the race circuit, Mack embarked upon another adventure, business related this time. He started Madd Mack Motorsports in Sperling, Manitoba, in 2011, providing custom ATV and UTV accessories focusing on performance and suspension upgrades. As ambassador for the UTV division of Elka Shocks, Mack is a suspension whiz loving all the positive feedback from his happy customers across Canada. He also has a full-time job, so between Madd Mack Motorsports, his day job, and life itself, he is kept moving and shaking, day and night.
An everyday Joe is how he’d describe himself- turned up to the max, I think. His passion shows when given the opportunity to talk motorsports.
Passionate or obsessed, no matter how you look at it this man brings a lot to the table, especially in his hometown community of Sperling, located 56 kilometers southwest of Winnipeg. St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba, hosts one of the biggest rallies in Canada, a poker run that attracts over 1,400 riders from all over North America. Madd Mack Motorsports is a proud sponsor and Mack, in a cast or out of one, will always be there to partake in the fun.
Always riding, in minus 40 or plus 40, J.P. Mack is a rider who just won't quit.
