RidersWest Insider Proposed legislation will limit liability on resource roads in BC

Changes to the Occupiers Liability Act will reduce liability concerns arising from the public use of resource roads in B.C.

On March 15, 2012, an evening meeting was held in regards to a brand new ATV club based out of Cranbrook, B.C. The Kootenay Rockies ATV meeting was well attended—almost 40 people came out to support the new club, including Gordon Galloway, director of ATV/BC.

RidersWest Insider Toronto International Motorcycle Springshow this weekend

This weekend, March 17 and 18, 2012, marks an early start for the 2012 riding season as the Toronto International Motorcycle Springshow, presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance and sponsored by Kahuna Powersports and Pizza Pizza, opens at the International Centre on Airport Road. The show has expanded once again for 2012, now taking place in Halls 1, 2, and 3 which means larger displays of the new 2012 motorcycles, more special features, a bigger line up of special guests and more top custom bike builders.

RidersWest Insider Northside Motorsports in Edson, Alberta, has changed hands

There are new owners at the helm of Northside Motorsports, which is located on 4th Avenue in Edson, Alberta. Rod and Candy Motkoski, who are from Edson, took over the business on March 12, 2012, and according to Kaille Auriat, who works at Northside Motorsports, the husband-and-wife team are both avid motorsports enthusiasts.

Northside Motorsports opened in the summer of 2008 and the company will continue to offer products, such as ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles, from the Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Suzuki brands.
