RidersWest Insider Success for Moose in Boise, Idaho

The penultimate round of the Geico EnduroCross Series—which took place in the Idaho Center near Boise, Idaho, on October 27, 2012—provided the most technically difficult course of the season. Corner Grass Racing Team (CGRT) member Shane Cuthbertson (a.k.a. Moose) of Airdrie, Alberta, made the trek to Idaho to challenge the Open Amateur class and to qualify for the Pro class for the evening show.

And so another Canadian motocross season is winding down. The Nationals are over and done, racing has wrapped up back east, and we just have a few races left to run here on Vancouver Island, B.C.

RidersWest Insider VIMX Campbell River Practice Day report

A great time was had by all who came out for the Vancouver Island Motocross Association’s (VIMX) practice day on October 13, 2012. A little rain and a little mud did not stop the riders from preparing for the final race of the VIMX motocross season, which was to be held at the Campbell River Motocross Track on October 14.

Ride On One on one with Wyatt Waddell

Fourteen-year-old Wyatt Waddell from Ladner, B.C., has been competing on dirt bike racing circuits in B.C. and Alberta since he was five years old. For this season, Waddell, who was a former superstar in the 85-cc class, moved up to a bigger, 125-cc bike.

RidersWest Insider Cuthbertson victorious at Crowsnest Cross Country

Shane Cuthbertson of Airdrie, Alberta, has been on a roll, winning his last three events. This past Labour Day long weekend, Cuthbertson and his Husaberg TE300 put the beat-down on his competition on what is traditionally the toughest off-road race in the Alberta Dirt Riders calendar.

RidersWest Insider Fontanesi on her American victory

Last week Monster Energy-backed Yamaha racer Kiara Fontanesi flew to California to take on the best of the AMA's female off-road riders. The recently-crowned FIM Women’s Motocross World Champion confirmed her position as the fastest female motocrosser on the planet by winning both motos at Lake Elsinore for the final round of the American series.
