Golf carts aren’t just for golfers anymore. A company called SC Carts in Vernon, B.C., is designing custom golf carts for off-road applications, such as hunting and backcountry recreation.

There was more than just a little excitement in the air when we arrived at the Rover staging area between Nelson and Castlegar, B.C., on June 22, 2012. Close to 60 riders showed up for this year’s Summer Solstice Ride.

There are lakes aplenty in northern Saskatchewan, and the region is known for its fishing opportunities. Daryl Brandrick, president of the Northern Trails A.T.V. Club based in Saskatoon,  said this part of the province is excellent for ATVing as well.
