May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month presented by the National Safety Council (NSC). With warmer weather throughout the country, the National Safety Council encourages motorists to safely share the road with motorcyclists and to be extra alert when they are near by.

I've always enjoyed driving the Wardner-Fort Steele Road in my truck, but recently, my husband and I took this route from Cranbrook, B.C., with our 1985 Honda V65 Magna and I discovered that it is way better on a bike.

Motorcycle Zone Curves ahead

The Kootenay Lake ride winds its way between Creston and Kootenay Bay, with 80 kilometres of Curve Ahead signs en route. This piece of road is truly a destination highway for motorcyclists.

ATV Zone See the land o’ lakes

There are lakes aplenty in northern Saskatchewan, and the region is known for its fishing opportunities. Daryl Brandrick, president of the Northern Trails A.T.V. Club based in Saskatoon,  said this part of the province is excellent for ATVing as well.

Can-Am is inviting all owners of its Spyder roadster for a special get-together in Durango, Colorado. This event will be held from June 20 to 22, 2012, and attendees will have the chance to meet with and speak to other owners of the Spyder roadster about their experiences. Representatives from Bombardier Recreational Products will be there as well.
